TechTalk: MS-DOS 6.0 and PC Support Head-on Crash

For those of you using Support folders, watch out when you upgrade to MS-DOS 6.0! It has some great features, but apparently Bill Gates' legendary phobia about all things IBM has struck again.

DOS 6.0 reserves drive designators D through I, apparently for CD-ROM or other add-on drives. According to Microsoft technical support, this cannot be user- modified.

For example, those of you who were using drives E and I for folders with PC Support will have to change those folder drive assignments to something past drive I. We use J and K now, with no problem.
