Going over our catalog listing, I see that two libraries from our old releases are still on the disk, QSYSV1R3M0 and QSYSV2R1M0. Is it okay if I delete these libraries? We are currently on V2R1M1. This would help clear up some space.

Don't delete the libraries. These libraries provide TGTRLS(*PRV) support for things like CL programs and other non-language compilers (like CRTCMD, CRTxxxF, etc.).

If you don't need previous release support, you can get rid of these libraries by deinstalling the licensed product-not by running the DLTLIB command.

Do a GO LICPGM, take the option to display all installed program products, and enter Option 4 next to the appropriate entries in the list. Press Enter (and possibly Enter again to confirm). You don't have to have a dedicated system to do this. However, be careful when you delete licensed programs: you can accidentally delete the wrong one!
