IBM® Bluemix® Local Push Notifications helps you send push notifications to Google Android and Apple iOS devices. The devices can be targeted by using tags or device identifier. Push notifications use simple, uniform representational state transfer (REST) APIs to configure, subscribe, send, and monitor push notifications.

This service enables a unified platform to send and manage mobile push notifications.

• Manages the mapping of your application users to their devices and device platform and dispatches push notifications to them.
• Lets you send:

1. Broadcasts and unicasts (based on device ID)
2. Tag (or topic) push notifications to your mobile application users

You can use a software development kit (SDK) and REST APIs to further develop your client applications.
