IBM Parallel Environment Runtime Edition for Linux on Power V1.3 is a parallel runtime environment for a distributed cluster of IBM Power System servers for technical computing workloads. It includes the core components to enable you to develop, debug, and run parallel applications such as those that use the industry-standard MPI.

Version 1.3 delivers integration with IBM Platform LSF, which enables:

• LSF to monitor resources used by IBM PE Runtime Edition jobs.
• Parallel Operating Environment, in stand-alone mode, to start a  parallel job at scale under Platform LSF.
• Support for multiple jobs sharing a node, with proper affinity setttings.

Additionally, Version 1.3 is supported on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 operating system.
