Does anyone know how to filter messages going to the QSYSOPR message queue? Every day at 5 p.m. we receive a message for every terminal that is turned off. The operators have missed important messages because of all the Device no longer communicating... messages.

By default, the QSYSOPR message queue automatically filters any message sent to QSYSOPR with a severity less than 40. Therefore, any message with a severity of 40 or higher in its description will break to the screen.

The message you're referring to is CPF2677, and I believe it ships with a severity of 40. We've changed the severity of this message to 39 using the Change Message Description (CHGMSGD) command, so that particular message will not break to the workstation. If you do this, you will probably have to redo it after every release upgrade you install.
